Nero "Fugue State"

Last Saturday night I decided to have a chill night in and watch Dunkirk on 4K bluray, but as I was digging through my movies I found a copy of Nero Welcome Reality + on CD and I lingered on it for a while. When that album came out I was obsessed with it, listening to it all of the time. I don't remember if the copy I found was mine, or the one that I gifted to my stepson about 15 years ago, but honestly, it did not matter; I was just happy to hold it in my hands again. Regardless, it pulled me back and I was lost in nostalgia for a moment. I made a mental note to give the disc a spin sometime soon before putting in my movie to enjoy. Honestly, by Sunday I had kind of forgotten about it. Then, Wednesday I posted that awesome track from Seven Lions & Subtronic and it made me think about dubstep again. Seven Lions & Subtronics feat. Skylar Grey "I'll Wait For You"

I'm too old now to worry about what's cool and what's not. I see 20/30-somethings sporting (in my opinion) gross 70s-style mustaches and realize that what's cool and "in" has passed me by. I still wear Chuck Taylor All-Stars and Doc Marten boots, what do I know? So when a coworker sent this along I found myself asking, "is dubstep still cool?" Then I took a moment to think about it. Honestly, I don't know and I don't care. I like it, and that's good enough for me. So when you want to dance turn this on, because when that sick  drop hits, OH MAN, it just fucking hits! If you like that kind of thing, then this is the track for you. I hope it gets you through midweek. But Judas, that DROP! Enjoy what you like. I like this.

Avicii & Sebastien Drums "My Feelings For You"

This is the first track I ever heard from Avicii, albeit a collaboration with Sebastien Drums, and from that first listen I knew immediately that this was a banger! It's sad that someone who brought so much joy to people could not escape his own demons. He released so many great, booty-shaking tracks, but this one will always be my favorite. Sometimes you just want to dance. Avicii made that very easy to do. Enjoy!
